Have you ever heard of Zomato? I guess you may have heard of it, if you are quite good internet user. It is the best option to search for and discover great places to eat. Currently, Zomato currently operates in 23 Countries.
And above 90% of its users get to know about Zomato through Internet Browsing or due to the Poster-Ads on Internet. And all of their users are literate. Most of them tend to watch any one of the Top TV Shows, like sharing Internet Memes, Trending Things etc. So, Zomato wanted to grab their attention at any cost. They literally did it by “Smart Advertising Online“.
So, Zomato wanted their attention very badly. It made a decision. A quite brilliant, risky decision. They designed Ad Posters spoofing the names of Famous/Trending TV Series/Shows, Internet Memes. And these are the posters of Zomato during that Smart, Intelligent Online Ad-Campaign.

That’s how Zomato targeted Online Users, TV Series Lovers very smartly at once. And even it went on further, entering into Adult rated spoofing Ad Campaigns. However, that thing doesn’t go the way they thought. But, the TV Series Spoofing Advertising by Zomato gave them a boost of Sales.
It’s one of the wittiest, brilliant ways of Marketing by Zomato. It was later on followed by many other E Commerce Sites etc. But, repeating the same thing to is dangerous. So, it was viral just for weeks and later on Zomato decided to choose some other creative ways to approach online audience. Great Ideas always get Greater Response.
