Norton WiFi Privacy App is a new app launched by Symantec’s Norton. Norton WiFi Privacy App secures and encrypts sensitive data while using public WiFi networks. Now, we can happily use WiFi over Public Networks without any doubt on your Android or iOS Devices. Because, Norton WiFi Privacy App can prevent the unnecessary hacks through keylogging tricks, data collection bots, login frauds from now. It is the version of it’s creators of Symantec Group. But, can we rely on it for sure?
Yeah. Even I have the same doubt for some time. But, later I gathered up some data of Norton’s WiFi Privacy App. And according to my intuition and calculations, it is a 50-50 chance of protection to your Device from Public and Fake WiFi Network Attacks. You aren’t getting me, right? Let me clear away all of your doubts with a detailed information along with explanation. So, what are we waiting for? Let’s see what is what.
“We know many consumers believe that using a password to access public Wi-Fi means their information is safe, but that’s not necessarily the case. So, we launched this Norton’s WiFi Privacy App for our customers security and privacy,” said Fran Rosch, executive vice president, Norton Business Unit, Symantec. And he even added ” This App helps to protect information, such as passwords and credit card numbers, and denies access to hackers who may be eavesdropping on the same network.”
The Statement itself made many people so happy, because they can use banking and other payments and personal, official logins anywhere. But, it is not that much safe in my perception.
Because, Symantec says that the program routes all of your online traffic through a proxy server. And Norton claims that this server uses highly sophisticated encryption. And that’s just a word given by Symantec. So, you may have to rely only on that word itself. But, when we conducted a Survey on this thing with many Tech Experts, they have concluded that Norton could store your Data without knowing of yours.
And another thing to remember is that as it is routing the network, it can slow down the browsing too.
However, Symantec claims that it doesn’t rack or store your information. But, even they cannot assure you that on a official written note/statement. So, if so any breach in Future can reveal all of your data into Hackers and Online Robbers. That’s the worse to happen. And the company can say sorry to its customers then in a soothingly sad manner.
So, if Symantec truly stands on its words, then you can surely download and use that Norton’s WiFi Privacy App at your own risk. And the App costs $30 per year, approximately. For now, this App is available for usage in Android and iOS Devices. In future, you may even get to see Desktop Application of this.
So, guys; don’t be so hasty. Wait sometime, until the Application launches. And if the reviews of the App are really good (which are given genuinely by experts), then go for it. I won’t stop you. But, Think before you Act/Implement.
