Creating a invisible folder in Microsoft Windows is useful for securing and protecting your privacy. Nameless folders can also be created in Windows for playing pranks and much more. I just said that we can create a Nameless and Invisible Folder. May be you can call it your Private or Personal folder, which you do not want to share with your friends or relatives, due to many reasons of your own. But, literally saying, it’ll be helpful for many of you in one way or the other. So, what are we waiting for. Let’s go and check it out.
Step by Step Guide to Create a Invisible and NameLess Folder:
Create a New Folder.
Click Windows Key+R and enter “charmap“. And hit enter. You get to see many characters, you are not familiar before. In between all of those characters, you can see some empty spacing. It is just not a void space, it is a Character. Select it. And then Copy the character from the Charmap, as shown in the image below (use same font for faster character finding chances).
Click to select the desired new folder, then press F2. Now, you can edit or Rename the Folder.
Hit Delete and the Folder name will get cleared.
Now paste that thing in the Name space of Folder and hit enter. It appears as in the image shown below.
Now, select the nameless folder created as per above procedure. And open the properties of that Folder.
Choose “Customize” Tab among the properties > Go to “Change Icon”.
Scroll among the icons and at right below corner, you get to see empty space. Click on that Empty space. Actually, it is a Invisible/Void Icon. So, choose it as Icon and hit “Apply“. Then click OK and close the Properties Tab.
Choose a Black or Dark Coloured Image as your wallpaper and place the folder on the Desktop. You get to see the Nameless and Invisible folder, if you click on it, as you only know the location of the folder on Desktop.
That’s it. You just created a Invisible and Nameless Folder to protect your Privacy, due to various reasons. Hope this thing helps a lot of people, including yourself.
