#Method 1: DNS Flushing

As this is an issue occurred because of DNS, we shall try to Flush the DNS at first and check whether it helps or not.

Step 1: Hit Windows Key + R resulting in Run Command Box opening up.

Step 2: Type in CMD and press enter to Open up Command Prompt.(Open it with the Administrator Privilages.)

Step 3: Now, Command prompt opens up. Just simply enter/type the Below Text in Command Prompt and Hit Enter.

netsh winsock reset catalog

Step 4: Once you get to know that Command is completed, Reboot your PC. And then, check whether the Error still exists or not. If it exists, try on the next method.
#Method 2:
Step 1: Hit Right-Click on the Network symbol in the Taskbar, and select the “Open Network and Sharing Center”

Step 2: A Windows pops-up. In that Window, click on “Change Adapter Settings”

Step 3: Now, Find the Active Connection among the listed ones and Look-up for its properties.

Step 4: Right then, Another Window will Pop up. In that Window click on Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) and then click on Properties option leading by it.

Step 5: Now, Check whether the DNS Server Addresses are alike the ones in the below picture or not. If not, change their values to the instructed values as in the picture.

Step 6: Hit OK and check if you still face the same error of DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NXDOMAIN. This will most probably settle the issue for maximum cases. If it doesn’t work, try next one.

#Method 3:

This error “DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NXDOMAIN” can also be fixed by simply Resetting your Chrome settings to default. Follow the steps given below, to fix the error.

Open Google Chrome. And there, in the address bar type “chrome://flags/” and hit Enter.


It will open the “Chrome Flags Experiment” section. On the right side of the page, you can find “Reset all to default” button. Click the reset all to default and then just Restart your Chrome browser.

Clicking on it will be reset your Chrome settings to the default state. Now try opening the web page that was giving the “DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NXDOMAIN” error and see if the error has been resolved.
