ASUS, a Taiwanese computer hardware and electronics company, puts a step forward to release two flagship phones along with a mid-ranger. All the three have huge developments in terms of specifications from the previous models of ZenFone. The company names them as ZenFone 3, ZenFone 3 Deluxe and ZenFone 3 Ultra, depending upon the price and features. ASUS ZenFone is out with new and breakthrough features. It’s superior camera quality and design can perfectly compete with Apple iPhone. With it’s pricing range, ASUS ZenFone is a good smartphone for economical markets.
ASUS tries to focus on some key features especially the camera, RAM and the design. Camera department experiences major changes with a bump in megapixel-count. ASUS ends its relationship with Intel chipset by taking Snapdragon processors for all the three smartphones. They also come in four exciting colours.
ASUS ZenFone 3
ZenFone 3 comes with Zen design resembling Samsung S6 and S7 smartphones. It has 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass on both the sides. It has 7.69mm thin edge and 0.18mm diamond-cut bevel. On the back , it has a 16MP rear camera with a dual-LED real tone flash and a fingerprint sensor below the below the camera. On the right, it has a volume-rocker and a lock button below it. On the top, it has a secondary mic and a 3.5mm jack. On the bottom, a Type-C port and a mic. The round edges and corners of ASUS ZenFone resemble Apple iPhone.
ZenFone 3 has a fabulous 5.5-inch 1080p display with brightness upto 500nits. It has a 2.1mm slim bezel and an excellent screen-to-body ratio(77.3%)
ZenFone 3 camera comes with PixelMaster 3.0. It packs a 16MP Sony IMX298 rear camera with f/2.0 aperture and a 6P lens. It uses TriTech auto-focus technology which focuses in just 0.03 seconds. It consists of both 4-axis OIS and 3-axis EIS for blur-free shots. It also comes with Deep Trench Isolation technology and a Color Correction sensor. On the front, it packs 8MP FF camera with f/2.0 aperture. It can even record 4K video.
SOFTWARE, PERFORMANCE AND CONNECTIVITY
ZenFone 3 packs a 64-bit Qualcomm® Octa-Core Processor Snapdragon™ 625 chipset clocked at 2.0GHz and Adreno™ 506 GPU. It consists of 3GB / 4GB LPDDR3 RAM. It has an Internal Storage of 32GB/64GB and can be expanded upto 128GB. It speeds upto 300Mbps on 4G LTE. As a promise for security, it has fingerprint sensor which can recognize upto 5 fingers. ZenFone 3 comes Wi-Fi v802.11ac along with Bluetooth v4.2 and Wi-Fi Direct. It has dual-sim dual standby. Both SIM card slots support 3G WCDMA/ 4G LTE network band. But only one SIM card can connect to 3G WCDMA/ 4G LTE service at a time. ZenFone is loaded with ZenUI 3.0 based on Android Marshmallow.
SOUND AND BATTERY
ZenFone boosts SonicMaster and High-Res Audio certification. It is provided with 5-magnet speaker for more powerful and a top-notch audio. ASUS promises 4x CD Quality. ZenFone packs not-the-less 3000mAh battery and it is said that the processor consumes 35% less power. ZenFone’s superior audio quality can make a perfect rival to Apple iPhone.
MARKET LAUNCH AND PRICE
ASUS Chairman Jonney Shih confirmed the launch of ZenFone 3, but official release date has not been announced. As far as Taiwanese sources are concerned, ZenFone 3 is expected to release by the end of June. The official release date is yet to be released by ASUS. ZenFone 3 will cost you $249(Approx. 16605.81 INR) in China.
